How to Draw a Serval
A serval is a slim cat built from simple parts: long thin legs, a long oval body and a small round head on a neck. The two tall ears sit close together on top, and they are what make the drawing look like a serval. The short ringed tail and the black spots come at the end, so take your time with the shapes first.

Questions and answers
- How do I make the serval's ears look right?
- Draw two tall shapes with rounded tips that stand straight up, close together on top of the small head. Make each ear almost as tall as the head itself.
- How long should the serval's tail be?
- Keep it short. It should hang down only to the bend in the back legs, not to the ground, with three rings and a dark tip.
