How to Draw a Duck

This duck starts as one big round shape, and a short tail pointing up makes it look like a duck right away. Then come a folded wing with a wavy edge, two short legs with wide webbed feet and a long curved neck. The round head turned to you, two round eyes and the flat bill with its rounded tip come last.

Questions and answers

How do I draw webbed feet?
Draw three short toes spreading out from the bottom of each leg, then join their tips with soft curved lines. The filled space between the toes is the web.
How is a duck bill different from a chicken beak?
A chicken beak is short and pointed. A duck bill is long, flat and wide, with a rounded tip, so draw it like a small flat spoon.
