How to Draw a Chicken
This hen begins as a big egg shape, which fits nicely because hens lay eggs. Next come a short tail of rounded feathers, a folded wing with wavy feather rows and two thin legs with three toes on each foot. The small round head, the bumpy comb, the wattle, the pointed beak and the eye come last and turn the egg into a cheerful chicken.

Questions and answers
- How do I draw the chicken's comb?
- Draw three small rounded bumps in a row on top of the head, like the top of a little cloud. Then add a soft rounded flap under the beak for the wattle.
- How do I make the wing look feathery?
- Draw the wing as a long rounded shape on the side of the body, then add two wavy lines across it. Each bump of the wavy line looks like the end of a feather.
